  1. Reduced power see dealer warning

I'm super curious. Doesn't look good, but at least you are under warranty.
  2. Observations after 10,000 miles ownership

For the radio, I'm pretty sure I just used these velcro strips (just the hook side to grip to the interior): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DYCK9KDS For the antenna, I used a "Nilight LED Light Bar Mounting Bracket": https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0824RPMDB I'm sure there are better looking ways of...
  3. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

I had a shop leave the cap off too - on an older Jeep. I've had a few other crazy things like that happen in shops - even shops I still like. I still have to weigh my time, space, tools, skills, and money - you're always rolling the dice on something. I used to think oil changes were one of...
  4. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

I did the first one myself to inspect the oil, then took advantage of the free oil changes at 5K and 10K miles. They took so long to do the oil change at the dealership last time that I'm now wondering if free is worth it! I'll do my own oil changes after they stop being free -- not sure when...
  5. ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires

It's about a half inch poke, but hardly noticeable to the naked eye. I've used a 48" straight edge to look at different angles. There's a little more poke in the front than in the rear. In the rear, I have more poke on the driver side for some reason. I'm not sure if that's the designed geometry...
  6. Dashcam installation with Dongar Pro (Update: Now Fixed & Working)

It should be easy to remove. If you don't plan to reinstall it, you can probably get a few bucks for it on FB marketplace.
  7. Dashcam installation with Dongar Pro (Update: Now Fixed & Working)

It records motion events while parked and I've never had issues starting the vehicle. I assume it has a low voltage detector built in that prevents battery drain, like most of the cams I've used, but I'm not sure.
  8. ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires

The shop that installed the tires set them to 40 PSI -- seems high to me, but I'll run them that way until I learn more or do a chalk test. I dropped to 20 PSI for a ride. The only issue is that my TPMS stopped working today: So I need to get that sorted out now. Not too worried about it...
  9. ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires

I haven't felt anything like that yet, but I also haven't driven it much since the mods. I'll be taking it off-road tomorrow, so I'll get my first feel for this configuration on dirt soon. I'm hoping I'll see some snow too -- but not too much!
  10. ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires

I just got the one pic today. I'll definitely post some more later. The shot I posted was kind of funny because it actually needs a wash but the light was just perfect to make it look shiny. We're going to get it out on the trail this weekend, so I'll have a chance to get some good pics then...
  11. Aftermarket Wheels, Bigger Tires, Lift Kits (Compilation) for 2025+ 4Runner 6th Gen -- Add Yours!

Heres' what a 2025 4Runner ORP Underground looks like with ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires. Details, impressions, review posted here...
  12. ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires

TLDR: Heres' what a 2025 4Runner ORP Underground looks like with ReadyLift 2.5" SST lift, 17x8.5 +35 Method 703 wheels, and BFG KO3 LT285/75R17 tires. Details for anyone that is interested... The information and images posted on this site have been helpful for me in deciding if I want to get a...
  13. Surprising conclusions from review: "Rugged Face-Off: 2026 Honda Passport Trailsport Elite Vs. 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium"

I have the 4Runner Off-Road Premium, and I’ve never driven the Passport. I thought the author’s conclusions contradicted the analysis a bit, though the article is mostly fair in its “depends on what you want to do” framing. What stood out to me is that the author acknowledges differences in...
  14. OEM Toyota Dashcam DIY how-to install instructions (and how to remove map dome light console)

I never notice it so I'm going to say no. I think if you were looking up in the air at the right angle -- maybe trying to spot a bird, a plane, or perhaps superman -- then it might become a momentary issue until the object moved, or you shifted your head by one centimeter to the left.
  15. OEM Toyota Dashcam DIY how-to install instructions (and how to remove map dome light console)

The last one I got is the rove r2-4k pro for my Jeep earlier this year. I've been pretty happy with that one but wiring it in was a lot more work the the OEM 4Runner cam with its wiring harness already setup
  16. OEM Toyota Dashcam DIY how-to install instructions (and how to remove map dome light console)

I haven't had any issues with it, but I usually don't use the software. Once I got it setup the way I want, I just pull the SD card if I ever want the footage off it. The camera app software did seem a little clunky. I've got some aftermarket cams on my other vehicles that were cheaper and work...
  17. Rear ended on freeway - thoughts or advice?

Glad you're OK -- sucks for the vehicle though I'll bet he was an Eagles fan
  18. TRD ORP - speedometer vs GPS speed

I know this post is a few months old but I just tripped across it "hoping" the speedometer reads a little high because I plan to install larger diameter tires. I just tested my ORP on its factory 265/70R18 Falken Wildpeak AT3WA tires. The speedometer was dead on -- testing by setting cruise...
  19. Observations after 10,000 miles ownership

FWIW, I've been on I-70 with my non-hybrid a bunch and I've never noticed an issue with power or acceleration going up any of the grades. I'll have to pay more attention next time I head up. Anything I should be looking for?
  20. Observations after 10,000 miles ownership

I'm not a big fan of the cold, but planning to stay in Colorado for a few more years anyway. I'll probably spend more time in warmer climates as I get older. The rust is something people should look for in used vehicles. When I was shopping for used TJ series Jeeps, that was the number one...
