Hi folks. I bought an airstream 25FB (i need a tundra to tow that)
so I’m selling my 2025 4Runner Hybrid Trd off road
it’s mint, 2900 miles, currently in SF. it’s got a few removable upgrades.
in person transaction only anywhere around the northern california bay area
save 10% & taxes over new...
i just double checked, you’re right on the hybrid, it’s a P0 layout on the diesel and a P2 on the gas. so the hybrid systems are not compatible. good thing the hybrid components can just be ripped out in case of a swap lol
These are just food for thought…
Toyota 1GD-FTV 2.8L Diesel swap, US EPA doesn’t let us use that engine, but it uses the same transmission as the gas model and it also has the hybrid option. so whichever trim you have, it should be a drop in swap.
increase mpg, easier towing. different wiring...
the electric motor is inline with the gasoline one and it’s activated by… a wet clutch instead of a planetary gear like other Toyota hybrids. that decreases manufacturing costs by a lot.
I’m not even American ? I was given the runaround by toyota for weeks, then they denied any type of compensation even though they admitted fault.
Small claim court is an easy painless way to resolve small conflicts.

-This only applies to non premium models, the toyota website makes it very clear.
-I drove 400miles to buy the car. checking to see if toyota made a mistake was the last thing on my mind when i bought the car. i just checked the exact name of the trim

it doesn’t haha, i parked the car and waited in the car before turning it off for the turbo to cool but the engine just shut off my itself almost immediately ?. anyway a potential turbo swap a turbo at 150k miles should take 1500$ and 2h of my own labor. so i don’t really care
it’s funny, no one in this forum or on youtube complained about the ride until this video.
as good as tccn videos are, they shouldn’t trump your own observations.
yeah i feel like it can be fixed, they just need the clutch not to disengage at full stop. & i’m sure this is affecting ALL the land cruisers, tacoma iforce max & grand highlanders iforce max
gosh what a stupid fucking name “iforce max” Let’s all copy Apple
