Thank you I had a lot of fun doing it and I am glad you're taking advantage of it. I realized that I had saved it in thousands when I went to print it myself and forgot to update the STL file.
Not yet we are still debating it. We went camping last weekend and we really could have used that extra cargo box on the EXO. We missed the sale over Labor Day and with the season coming to a close we are going to wait for another sale and pull the trigger.
I’ve also not experienced any of these issues with my TRD Off-Road. I’m 5 months in and sitting just shy of 8000 miles and I’ve been dragging it all over the mountains on some pretty severe and beat up roads. Rattles are to be expected after doing shit like that but I’ve been able to track them...
Yeah I've got it all set up for that. I am using a Luno Life Foam Air Mattress which fits perfectly and a Rumpl sherpa blanket. It's a super comfortable sleep setup. I just installed the Caliraised internal rear molle panels and upper shelf. I haven't gotten a chance to set it up completely but...
I was going with carpet initially as well and figured out that I wouldn’t be able to wrap it around the edges and have clearance for the install. I like the look of yours with the carpet better and might have to fashion some sort of mat.
That sounds like a great solution to your problem...
Yes I’ve been meaning to put that together and post it. I’ve put the setup through the motions a handful of times and am confident it will hold up. I used 2020 when I built my setup not realizing 8020 would be a better material. Even so I have had zero issues with it. I suffer the random squeak...
Yes it was. I used the rustolium bed liner for the durability factor. It took way more than I expected to get it all painted. Went through 5 extra large cans at $20 each. Doing it over again I would look into a different product. It is holding up nicely. I just got home from an adventure to...
Thats a great idea. I've been considering removing the rear seats and expanding the storage system with additional options through the rear doors on both sides. We still have 2 teenagers at home but they rarely ride in my 4runner. We most often take my wife's highlander when we the boys come...
Also if anyone ever needs to carry some big bikes, as in motorcycles, I am loving this mototote max. it has a 600lbs weight capacity. Great way to get my KTM to the mountains to do some trial riding.
Anyone have any experience with the Yakima EXO system? We are considering picking up one with the cargo box and the top shelf and bike rack. We have need for some more storage when we head out in August to visit family Redding but we also want to take the bikes along as well.
They do not have an install video for this yet and when I first reached out they didn't even have any printed instructions. They must have decided to throw something together really quick because they sent me a powerpoint file yesterday. It includes some written step by step instructions that...
I built it tall enough where the 3rd row cup holders in the cargo area keep it from tipping. I did also use some turnbuckles to hold it to the tie downs built into the floor as an extra precaution. Mainly to keep it from sliding forward if the seats are folded.
I hadn’t been considered the inter cooler yet. I should probably look into that. Don’t tell my wife though ? between my Ducati Desert X and the 4 runner I’m spending all my overtime money lol.
