Mine is a hybrid, toyota tech got back to me today and said there was "history of a shift solenoid code" and are going to keep it for the weekend to try and recreate the issue.
had this exact same error happen to me yesterday after picking my kid up at school. sitting at a stop light got a noticable clunk from the transmission and then the warning light went off. Truck drove fine but pulled it over anyway to be cautious. Turned it on and off and still had the hybrid...
how is the sound difference with the sxth element intake? is it significantly more "turbo"?
Headed in for my first 5K service here in a few days as well...really surprising oil change is not part of this service interval?
anyone with this intake had their 4Runner into the dealership yet? They give any grief or talk about voiding any warranties or anything like that with this intake on? I know Subaru was finicky about aftermarket stuff but havent had alot of experience on the Toyota side
put my deposit down in april 2024, i believe i was number 37 in line at the time. got word may 2025 that someone ahead of me in line backed out at the last minute on the color and trim level i was waiting for. Went in on a wednesday to fill out the paperwork and drove it home that saturday :)
appreciate the heads up here. also used a small plastic knife and was surprised at how easy they came off with very little residue left on the paint. Little warm water and a microfiber cloth down and everything looks flawless. Thanks for reminding me I meant to do this like 3 months ago!
what procedure did you find best for removing the hood badges? head them up and pull them off? fishing line or something similar? i'm assuming they are just on there with some high strength double sided adhesive.
anyone pick one of these up and install yet? i do agree that the power gain is likely not a noticeable increase to change how the vehicle feels day to day but i am curious how much more audible the turbo sounds become with this intake. One thing i've been somewhat disappointed with coming from...
also been interested in this and wondering how it would affect the dealerhsip and warranty etc. I do enjoy the sounds from what i've heard in various videos. I have a TRD Pro and i'm wondering if much like subaru's there is some sort of baffle or noise canceler that subdues the sounds from the...
out of curiosity what are you looking at considering for your winter set of wheels/tires? I also did this on my Subaru's keeping the stock wheels and a set of Blizzaks for winter and then swapping to my summer wider wheels + bridgestone pole positions.
absolutely loved blizzaks in the snow...
i've been hoping i can come across one that has been rear-ended so i can snag the LS1/T-56 and put it into the '68 i have in my garage that mostly collects dust these days
Man that is awesome you were able to find a single-owner one in that kind of shape and mileage. i had a 2002 firehawk at one point in my life and its one of my biggest regrets on the list of pontiacs i've sold off, even still have the TT2 wheels i had on it in my garage after 10 yrs in hopes...
have almost 3K miles on my hybrid 6th gen and the built-in MPG tracker says i'm averaging 21.2 mostly cruising around town but did have a couple 150+ mile road trips for camping so far in there.
