much the same here - except havenāt heard it when closing doors. The right bumpy road will cause it to happen often but not always. Used my phone recording app to record it while driving when having my phone in different areas and seemed to be loudest from front driver area. Could barely hear...
that could be where mine is also - since I took the door apart and still had the noise even after doing the window track stuff. Not sure whatās even behind the seat belt panel that could make such a noise
was there with window down or up. Even if window was down and I was holding onto the glass the rattle was there. I even removed my back seats completely the other day to test.
Been trying to pinpoint the source of a rattle recently and found this post⦠went out to check mine and exact same creaking. My ā25 Tacoma was much better made than my ā25 4R. I already fixed 2 rattles⦠still 1 to go and now this creaking as well!
Thanks! Tempted to try this myself this weekend⦠but since itās around -15° around here Iāll likely end up breaking some plastic. I have an appt with the dealer booked for next week so will see what they come back with first.
yes - I am HOPING thatās the issue and fix - but wanted to see if anyone had any audio of the rattle before tearing my door panel apart (itāll be quicker for me to do it than visit the dealer)
Or perhaps was there a way you could reproduce that noise at will without driving that I can test?
I get this rattle with the stereo off even - mainly if driving over something like a manhole cover. It doesnāt happen on all bumps though⦠maybe 5-10% of them (which is my worst nightmare for having Toyota try to reproduce it and say they canāt find any issue)
Does anyone happen to have an audio clip (or video) demonstrating the rattle noise? Have developed one myself but having a hell of a time trying to pinpoint the area so want to see if similar sound
