While giving the motor of my SR5 a wipe down, I noticed multiple pieces of loose hardware that hold the heat shield to the firewall behind the motor.. looks to me like I’m also completely missing a nut as there is just a stud poking through a hole.. Can yall confirm on your 4Runners if I’m...
Just my opinion, seems like a waste doing this through the dealership.
Krown (Canadian owned) is an effective oil undercoating that needs yearly applications at around $150 a pop. Ceramic coating I think is a waste. If you want paint protection, get the protective pre cut film from Toyota...
Also dealing with this issue…. Dealer could not reproduce, but I can 100% of the time… Frustrating. I have another apt to go back and show the techs the noise. I wouldn’t pay a dime to fix it. Hold Toyota responsible. It’s not a normal characteristic of the vehicle..
Not sure if this would be easier than removing the headliner, but if you have access to a welder, you could tack something to the broke bolt and try to back it out again.
Did the dealership or factory acknowledge the mph difference in your SR5? I’m in the middle of battling with my dealership…. 3 mph at 55mph is excessive. I can’t use my insurance app to reduce insurance cost… it’s accumulating miles faster. The mpg is off. Kinda feel swindled by Toyota…
The video is not correct when explaining the base model speaker count.… confirmed by Trailgridpro themselves when I asked what was going on. They did the same thing everyone is doing and saw the “8” speakers listed by Toyota on the window sticker. Silly in my opinion to call a single coaxial...
The guys at Trailgridpro.com told me my SR5 only has 6 actual speaker assemblies and Toyota classifies the coaxial speakers in each rear door as 2 speakers per door because they’re coaxial even though it’s only one actual speaker assembly. Coaxial = a tweeter and a sub in one speaker assembly.
Anyone turn off the data transmission to their 4Runner? I’m trying to get a better understanding of what features will be lost if I turn it off. I never signed up for the My Connect app and began turning the data to the vehicle off via the SOS button, but they said I’d lose my remote start if I...
Not sure if this is helpful as you asked about Woolwax and ceramic, but oil undercoating (Krown) does not void any warranty unless the damage was caused by the installer and/or oil. Confirmed today from the local dealer.
