  1. Thoughts on dash. Keep or trash

Looks a hell of a lot better than TOYOTA laid across the dash! Especialy when you have a TRD Pro and there are no exterior 4 Runner badges and the place they could have put one was on the dash but instead they put another big TOYOTA emblem instead, adding to the other two Toyota emblems already...
  2. Rust on 2025 4Runner

I know it's surface rust. What do you disagree with? Do you disagree that it will look better cleaned up and painted? Do you disagree that there is more surface rust in places you can't see and get into to treat and clean up? Do you disagree that he has to worry about places he can't see that...
  3. Some odd and interesting hybrid observations

You don't need more density or energy storage for the purpose of what the battery is being used for in this vehicle. Which is to suppliment the torque curve for power and help prevent turbo lag. But you are correct about cost. But I don't blame them, why use a more expensive battery to...
  4. Rust on 2025 4Runner

How many miles are on the vehicle? I honestly don't think there is much you can do for it at this point. If anything would have possibly helped a little is getting it undecoated before you put many miles on it. The rust you see like in your pictures is not so much the rust you have to worry...
  5. What did you do to your 6th Gen 4Runner today?? 👨🏻‍🔧 🧰 🛠

I used 3M two sided automotive molding tape
  6. Home Detailing Setup Ready To Go! What's Your Setup?

Beautiful setup! Nice and clean. I know what you mean about the rain needs to stop! lol
  7. What did you do to your 6th Gen 4Runner today?? 👨🏻‍🔧 🧰 🛠

I swapped out my chrome iForceMax tailgate emblem for gloss black. The body color looks different because the top pic was taken with my garage door closed and bottom taken with door open.
  8. 4runner came with scratch on interior trim, what would you do?

It would bug the hell out of me too. It bugs me just seeing your scratch! I would bring it back and have it replaced. You shouldn't have to jerk around trying to repair it yourself. And you shouldn't have to live with a scratch that you didn't make yourself unless they compensate you for it and...
  9. Quality Black Lug Nuts?

You can check out this company. This is where I purchase my black lug nuts for my vehicles. Not sure if they make them for the 4Runner not unless they're the same as the Tacoma? You'll have to check it out. And take the advise and not use an impact on them. Use a torgue wrench and torque them in...
  10. Newby alert…

Very nice looking! I love the black accents on the Platinum. Nice it had the FT 4x4 too. I don't see many Platinums on the lots.
  11. Can you get the digital rear view mirror close to the headliner?

I think what they are saying is being tall, positions them higher in the vehicle, and then the mirror itself blocks the front view out the windshield. They want the mirror to be able to be up higher in the vehicle.
  12. Power Tailgate Issue: leaving it open over night and the next morning it will not shut

Here is why your 2025 4Runner tailgate requires this manual reset: Safety and System Calibration: The power tailgate requires a manual, full-closed cycle to re-calibrate its position sensors. If left open for an extended period, the system may lose its "home" position or the sensors may become...
  13. 12v battery dead

Here is what my search revealed about the 12V battery in our 4 Runner Hybrid system being able to crank over the gas engine without the Hybrid battery. I didn't know our Hybrid system had a 12 volt conventional starter. Based on the design of the 2025 Toyota 4Runner Hybrid (i-FORCE MAX), yes...
  14. 12v battery dead

Yes you're correct, 12 V battery being located in the passenger compartment requires a vent hose connected to the battery vent port to route the gasses outside. Probably the main difference with the battery being a different part number is the CCA (cold cranking amp) rating of the battery. From...
