In the 5th gen simply putting it into 4wd-Hi and Not selecting any terrain modes turned off all traction control. Are we saying it now functions differently?
$70,574 is not the MSRP on that TRD Pro but rather TSRP which is more inclusive. It includes delivery fees and other options that may not be part of the MSRP (Monroney) sticker so it gives the buyer the appearance of a bigger discount or price reduction. Common ploy in the trade.
This was the first thing I did when I first bought my 5th gen Trail edition. Not only did it fix the problem with fumes entering the cabin it looked a lot better as well. Of course our German Shepherd also thanked me. I will plan on doing the same when I trade in for the 6th gen.
Also, you may find that the insurance company will want to repair your vehicle with aftermarket parts. It used to be you could try and fight that and demand oem but in recent years they have become very stubborn in that area. Our old company State Farm would not pay for oem parts and would only...

Be careful out there. Do you remember the 2009 crash because of subprime mortgage loans? Well guess what, the same is happening now with subprime auto car loans. Auto loans are being bought up and reinvested just like the mortgages were. Last month saw a record in "more than two month late...
When I first purchased my 5th gen 4Runner and got on the forums years ago there were many complaints of how hollow the doors sounded when shut compared to the 4th gen and how the hood flexed and how loud the interior was from lack of hood insulation. It was a common complaint. Seems it's gotten...
These infotainment problems are happening randomly across multiple models. Next time it happens try a hard reset by holding the power button in for 3 seconds and see if it reboots.
There are cases of melting trim, side view mirrors etc on the 5th gen Toyota RAV forum which is what my wife drives. It is not pervasive or widespread but is affecting some owners mostly in hot areas of the country. I know that for a few owners, Toyota initially replaced those trim pieces but...
