Been looking at the options on amazon that people have posted as an alternate to the OEM hood insulation that is not included on the lower trims. They all appear to be thin felt only which won't do much for noise transfer.
Wanted to throw out a better option, slightly more expensive but still...
Had a Jetta as a daily commute car that had the worst stereo ever. I literally thought my iPhone (sitting in the cupholder) was playing through its own speaker.
Guy out of NJ (enfig car stereo) does these great plug and play kits with the kicker key 200.4 amp; but doesn't do one for Toyotas...

I took apart my door and mine was related to a piece of metal that ran behind the window channel in the pictures here. It was a non painted chrome type 1/4 diameter tubing of some type that ran from behind the window channel...
2026 SR5, got it for invoice without any real issues or push. Only dealer add was tint, and it was reasonable for ceramic tint (assuming they actually installed ceramic tint lol).
I did a lease. Toyota had a decent lease if you do the one pay option which lowers the MF a ton and gets me a tax...
Cant speak to 5th gen and this is my first toyota ever; but looking at the cubby on my SR5 that is open cavity where the JBL sub sits if equipped. It looks way to small for a premium sub.
Side note, for a standard audio system the base/non-JBL isn't horrible. You want crappy base audio...
