Honestly, the reasons listed in the first post are what are keeping me from pulling the trigger on a 6th gen.
For now I'm holding onto my 2015 and going to do some more updates and see how I feel in a year or two. Next update will be the OTT Tune since they came out with a transmission tune for...
Honestly, if they added a black option to the Platinum interior that would probably be enough for me to upgrade from my 5th gen 4Runner.
I sat in the Platinum at an auto show and just did not like the blue interior.
I've had trouble finding one at dealerships and the dealerships aren't a quick drive. Also the question is for people that are living with the new 4Runner long term, not just a quick sit in the back seat.
So the new 4Runner is longer than the 5th gen 4Runner but the rear seat space has been cut down an inch or two. I was just wondering if it is noticeable now that some people on here have owned the new 4Runner for a few months.
I'm doing a lot of research but my feelings on the re-design are...
I mostly take mine for like camping and such and don't go rock crawling. Gravel roads or dirt roads type of thing.
Does that count as terrible local roads? Any more specifics on the rougher ride?
As time is going by I'm getting more and more tempted by the TRD Sport Premium trim of the new 4Runner with Cutting Edge Silver. I was just wondering how people are liking them as time goes by? Coming from a 2015 4Runner Trail Premium that I've updated.
Some things that I was wondering about...
I was a bit surprised that the new 4Runner used Cutting Edge Silver instead of the Celestial Silver, so just wondering if it looks good on day to day usage or shows dirt very easily?
To me it seems slightly darker silver than the Tacoma Celestial Silver and almost like a light grey. I had a car...
I've heard that the non-hybrid Tacomas and 4Runners are faster than a supercharged 5th Gen 4Runner, so just wondering if there is anyone who has driven both?
I currently own a 2015 4Runner Trail Premium that I've been debating putting a Magnuson supercharger on and then an OTT tune. It'd be...
So getting to 400+ lb/ft of torque is that possible on the non hybrid?
So I have a 5th gen with a tune and cold air intake. The cold air intake ads hp and torque and so did the tune (VRTuned) but from what I know the gains are not added on top of each other. For what it's worth though the tune...
Any updates on this for aftermarket?
I'll rest my arm on the top part of the door in my 15 Trail Premium which is soft touch there so it's a bit disappointing that Toyota put hard plastic there in the Off Road Premium models.
So researching the 2025 4Runner TRD Sport Premium and TRD Off Road Premium and am wondering if people who currently own them notice the hard plastics on the arm rests, door panels, and glove box in daily driving?
These are upgraded to soft touch materials in the Limited, Platinum, Trailhunter...
