That's the dream! The guy at the end of my road has a 68 he bought off the woman on the property behind him when her husband died, but he admitted he's not in love with it and all I heard was, you can pay a fair price for it when you find the money and now I'm working on the second part.
Positronic,
It's a 2000 black/black LS1 6-speed with T-tops. It's not a true WS6, but I got the factory WS6 hood/airbox on it and replaced the suspension with Koni/Eibach, So it's just missing the sway bars. Runs greatm cold A/C, just had a bunch of work done to it. T-Tops don't leak I think...
I've had Nitto tires, but never the Grapplers, I've looked at them though. I offroad in PA which is very rocky and you need tough sidewalls to deal with it.
I dint think you could keep the factory mud flaps with these tires, though you might be able to trim them, I prefer them off so I didn't...
285/75R18s (34.8” x 11.2”) fit on a stock TRD Pro (or Trailhunter) with the mud flaps and crash plates removed.
So I have a stock TRD Pro and I kept the wheels because I like them. I saw a post that said you could fit 35”x12.5” tires under the stock suspension with a little work. I can confirm...
I went with 285/75/18s (34.8" x 11.2") Yokohama Geo M/Ts on my stock Pro rims, no lift. Had to remove the mud guards and they tore the fabric right off the back of the front wells. They hit the frame crash plate at the back of the front wheel well before full lock but it's drivable. I have young...
This is fascinating, just put 285/75/18s (34.8" x 11.2") on my TRD Pro with stock rims and they hit the frame crash plate on the frame behind the front tire before full lock. I'll remove the crash plate this week and see if any other issues pop up.
Hey to anyone who's reading this thread, I actually found another TRD Pro that was closer to what I wanted elsewhere in Massachusetts. So I will be pulling my deposit on the one at Route 44.
I'll wait 24 hours and call them at 9am EST 6/6/25. So if anyone is looking for a white TRD Pro with a...
Literally as we were talking, a salesman from a different northeast dealer got back to me on an identical truck that isn't on a lot and isn't charging a markup, so I might make a jump as well. Always gotta be making moves!
This looks great man, Trailhunter and TRD Pro, are both higher than than the other tirms, correct? I really want to go to 35's on my TRD Pro, but was worried since no one else can fit them without a lift and I don't plan to lift initially.
I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 and a 1999 4Runner in the copper color from that year. I used to have a white 2015 trail edition that I loved, but I sold it to carmax for an $8K profit back in the coronial times. Missed it dearly. I had 2 kids in the last two years and needed a suitable family car so...
I just put a deposit down on the Route 44 White TRD Pro yesterday. Wish I'd found this post sooner, would have saved me calling every dealer on the Toyota page within 500 miles. It's exactly what I wanted, zero compromise. It has the ARB roof rack which I could take or leave. I added the dashcam...
