  1. Is the 2026 Limited (Non-Hybrid) safe to buy now, or should I wait for 2027?

The stock Limited wheels are fine, it's those Dunlop tires that give it a rough ride. My wife's Limited with 285/70r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT made the ride alot better. Added notes: I did try to fit 285/60r20 KO2s (33.5") on factory wheels, but it needed a level up front. After level...
  2. Highest Mileage 6th Gen 4Runner (30,800 Highest Reported So Far)?

Just hit 4k, July 17 delivery
  3. Wildshield Wiper Motor Noise

My wife's Limited is noisy also and brought to dealer to check it out back in July when we picked up plates. They didn't think anything was wrong and had no other 4runner on lot to compare to so chalked it up as "it is what it is", but every time it rains up here in PNW (which is most of the...
  4. Is the 2026 Limited (Non-Hybrid) safe to buy now, or should I wait for 2027?

My wife's Limited came in exactly on her birthday last July as we put an order for it last January. We're both very happy with it. As have been mentioned before, the 20" stock Dunlop Grandtrek were not so good, so put new 285/70r17 MT Baja Boss on Icon wheels and they improved the ride quite...
  5. Any solutions for roof rack winds noise?

That's true, make sure the smooth side is facing the rear. Makes a huge difference.
  6. Anyone Else Looking Back at 5th Gens?

Op pretty much hit on everything. For sure feels more cramped. What I do love is the steering.
  7. 285/75R/17 tires on SR5?

Running 285/70r17 with Icon +25. Rear pokes about 1/2" and front a little more (yes front pokes more). I only put a 1" level and wife wanted to keep mudflaps, so had to cut some of the fat portion up front to clear. You are putting a 75, but with more lift, so it "might" clear? I previously...
  8. Rear bottoming out over speed bumps?

We all felt it on the first couple bumps. I don't anticipate any more passengers anytime soon to replicate, but if any of you get a chance to try it, please do.
  9. Rear bottoming out over speed bumps?

Lol, that was before dinner! I made sure to crawl over all the speed bumps after. Yes, the front has a 1" level, but rear is stock, which I guess could be impacted by front lift, don't know for sure as that's the first time having passengers in rear. Payload was definitely below 1000#.
  10. Rear bottoming out over speed bumps?

Just the other day, my wife and I picked up my two sisters from the airport and went to mall to eat dinner. Well, as I went over some speed bumps in parking lot at normal speed (under 1MPH), I felt the rear suspension bottom out on a couple of the speed bumps which led me to "crawl" over the...
  11. Limited Trim Ride Quality

My wife has a limited and agree that those Grandtrek tires make you feel everything. She wanted a more aggressive look so put Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 285/70r17 SL rated on +25 Icon wheels. Not only does it look better, it rides better probably due to larger sidewalls, but would bet...
  12. Crossbar wind noise?

Kinda late to this party, but can confirm that lip should face front and smooth side facing rear. When I realized that smooth sides were facing rear from dealer, I thought they put it backwards, so moved it around and....dang, obvious wind noise! Put it back with lips facing front and no noise.
  13. Photo Request - 285/70/17 Spare Tire

Now I need to try to fit a 35" spare on my factory lifted Tundra. I read it's a hit and miss, depending on tire. Sorry, I went off topic
  14. Photo Request - 285/70/17 Spare Tire

Had tire shop mount it the other day knowing that new 285 would hang lower than stock 245 by about 40mm. Didn't try to mess with it yet to see if they just hung it straight up without adjusting it for best fit. As it sits, it's about even with tailpipe on back end about even with diff on front.
  15. Photo Request - 285/70/17 Spare Tire

Here you go. I knew it was gonna hang low, but my wife's Limited will probably never see any hard off roading, so....for reference, it's a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT
