That’s terrible! Mine is still not making any noise. I wonder if they gave you the Tundra brakes that were under their own recall last year. Or maybe your disc/rotor got too worn out from the original.

About 1.5 hours, and luckily they had everything in stock.

Brought mine in today because of this TSB, and they actually had the parts on hand. After half a year of dreading backing out of the garage in the morning, I can finally say the squeal is gone (hopefully for good). Feels amazing.

This is the biggest loss in the brake squeal epidemic. You don’t know what you got till it’s gone.

It really sucks having to hear this brake squeal every morning. It’s not a great way to start your day. I leave early for work, and the sequel wakes my wife and kids up. I bet the entire street knows when I leave for work.

I drive in stop-and-go traffic most days, but it’s always there. I live in Houston, so it is humid. It seems like humidity might be a common factor for people with loud squealing.

I really hope they fix it for you. I have been to the dealership three times and complained to corporate, but they just keep saying there’s nothing they can do.

I can confirm that the handling at fast highway speeds is much better with the air dam installed. I took mine off because it was missing screws, but I had the dealership reinstall it with all the screws since it was that noticeable for me. It feels really smooth and planted now, and I do get...

I am fairly certain it is just the front brakes after dealing with this for 4000 miles in 3 months. It’s the worst in reverse and always present. However, braking going forward it goes away after driving a bit.

Mine unfortunately sounds like this almost all the time. Has anyone received an opinion from a mechanic that is not employed at Toyota? The noise is driving me so crazy I might just have to get it fixed elsewhere.

It’s a waste of time right now. Unless you have a dealer that will go above and beyond. Mine acknowledged the noise, but they said the brakes technically meet the Toyota specifications. Which means they won’t do anything until they hear from corporate. My rotor is definitely showing large wear...
