All, if you are considering on mod for your new truck, it has to be a horn upgrade. The easiest way is to use Toyota part number "Premium Horn 08522-60010." This part is available via site sponsor Stickerfab When I say easy, I mean 10 minutes, a 12mm wrench, and no wire cutting.

Listen to the stock horn and then the upgrade.

The hardest part is getting those little clips back in, but once you get the hang of it, it is super easy

Definitely worth the upgrade, I did mine and it no longer sounds like a yellow Geo Storm. $67 on Amazon

You probably click on an ad or something. The link that I click went to stickerfab. Legit sight. I've ordered a couple of things from them already. They also have a etsy store.

As mentioned above, Stickerfab is a legit seller, and there is nothing wrong with that link. Sounds like something on your phone was trying to hijack that link.

I always upgrade my horns on all my vehicles especially if they come with the Beep Beep horn. My 25 Tacoma has a great really loud horn and you are telling me the 4runner comes with a beep beep horn? Why the difference?

Mudbath, does the stickerfab horn come with installation instructions? I know you said it was an easy install but I don't want to break anything!

I didn't buy mine from Stickerfab (they were backordered, so I went elsewhere) but the instructions were in the box, but I didn't need them (I had also done this on my Land Cruiser ((RIP)) but I didn't need the instructions then, either). It goes like this:

1) Push in the little circle clips holding the radiator shroud on

2) Gently lift the shroud up (go slow or you'll lose the clips, ask me how I know)

3) Unbolt each existing horn (one 12mm bolt each)

4) Undo the wire clip, there is a small notch, I used a small screwdriver to push it down and pulled it out.

5) Install is of the new horns is the reverse of the above.

Like I mentioned above, the trickiest part is redoing to trim clips. Here is how I do it.

Push the middle part up (see attached picture) and then squeeze the outer part to fit back in the hole. Gently push the top back in, so it sits flush, but don't push it too far, or it will unclip again. Once you get the hang of it, you'll make sense of it. I promise, it's easy.

If anyone does need to directions I'm happy to make a copy and post them here, just let me know.

Fantastic! Thank you for these very detailed instructions! I ordered the backordered so once it arrives, I'm going to give this a go.

As stated, it’s super easy once you figure out how to remove the pins. Mine came with Japanese instruction and pictures.

Japanese instructions but definitely not needed, piece of cake and “plug N play”, super simple!
