So I got an amazing text from Longo yesterday morning that she had finally arrived. She's a beaut. It arrived around midnight the night before, got the text around 10:30am and by 4pm, the bumpers were already off and she's already under the knife.

The work is going to be done by 626 Customs, Longo Toyota's custom shop. They're going to be tinkering with her for the next couple of weeks so I will try to post updates as we go. All the videos will be uploaded to my Youtube channel here, Motopapa. I'll also post on my IG handle, @motopapa88 similar to my other Pros and motorcycles.

Mods Installed:
  • Ditch Lights: Rigid D-SS Spots mounted on Westcott Designs low-pro brackets
  • Rock Sliders: Westcott Designs, no-kickout, DOM, Mig welded
  • Front Bumper: Rago Fabrication. Powdercoated gloss black to match
  • Bumper LED Light: Rigid Radiance + RGWB LED Light Bar
  • Tires: Nitto Recon Grapplers 295/70/18 (SL Load)
  • Removed front and rear mudflaps
  • Redline Tuning Hood Struts
  • Window tint - 20% Ceramic

Tons of mods are coming. Here's to name a few:
  • PPF - Front bumper, fender flares
  • Lamin-X (Selective Yellow) wrap on the Rigid Fog Lights
  • Sxth Element Recovery Hooks (Red)
  • Lift - Westcott Designs TRD Pro Collar lift
  • Prinsu Pro Rack - Inside side rails will be custom painted to match Underground color
There will be more down the road, but it's a start.

The Rago front bumper just arrived. Fantastic customer service, packaging, and build quality. As you'll see in my video, the bumper weighs a total of 70 lbs.

Now I'm just going back n forth on whether I powdercoat it gloss black to match the upper piano black valence or if I leave it as is to match the rest of the steel parts coming. What do you guys think?

Once I decide and the Rigid Radiance LED bar shows up, off to 626 Customs it goes...

Hers'a quick update on the build by 626 Customs. If you guys want to see the full build as we go, check out @626.customs on IG.

Redline struts are on, along with the Rigid D-SS ditc lights mounted on Westcott Design's low profile mounts. They do not hit the windshield even with the Redline hood struts, which do raise the hood a bit more than the metal hood prop.

Thanks. Wheels are staying because I love the look. Already 8.5" wide so we're mounting 295/70/18 Nitto Recons. The lift will come from the Westcott collar lift as I want to keep the Fox QS3s.

On my 5th Gen I have RRW wheels on Open Country RTs with King shocks, etc. Want to stay a little more OEM on this 6th Gen.

Sick build! How much lift did the pre-collar kit give you? Also, can you still fit the 295/70R18 spare underneath?

Thank you.

There's no lift on it yet. Westcott is still in development for the Pros and Trailhunters. They're hoping to have them done by early next month. In the meantime, the 295/70s fit easily on the Pros so there's no rubbing.

I don't believe You will be able to fit a 295/70 underneath though. I'll check next time Im at the shop.

Awesome! My exact rig just left Japan yesterday! Supposed to land at port July 4 and hopefully at dealer July 16! Ordered Wescott Design slider (mine with kickout). How much do they weigh?

Rago bumper looks nice. That lead time is amazing. Any reasin why that over CBI version. Im considering both. Are there any other vendors that offer a front bumper?

anyways, looks fantastic! Congrats!

Cheers!

Congrats. You're going to love her when she arrives.

I didn't weigh the sliders but the packaging stated 120 lbs with the boxes, so probably around that. It doesn't matter, they're sliders and they're supposed to be heavy. They're steel.

I was going to go with Rago, DV8 or ADD, as they're all the same company and I dig all of their designs. I went with Rago because it was the cleanest (OEM+) looking one with the winch opening at the bottom vs it being right in front. Since I'm not running a winch, Rago suited me the best.

DV8 has it's winch port right in the front. ADD isn't making a bumper for the 4R as of right now.

I don't like the way the CBI bumper looks. It's a great bumper, but just not my style. Didn't like the lines of it and the winch is also right up front.

I run a Warn winch on my current 5th TRD Pro mounted on a C4 bumper and I may have used it once. It's not worth it for me and it just adds way too much weight to the front end for what it's worth. Adds to alot of nose dive during braking. So no winch on this one. I want to keep it as OEM+ as possible.

Down the road, I'm sure SSO, C4, et al will make bumpers, but for now, it's just Rago, DV8, CBI, NYTOP...NYTOP being the most simplest OEM one on the market right now.
