Interesting!
Well, if it is indeed an issue, Lexus will take care of it.
However, the pattern of the "melt" on the rear view mirror housing looks suspicious and at least "weird" to say the least. Almost like someone took a heat gun to the housing to remove a clear coating that may have been...
The pictures above show the excellent all around view from the driver's seat; I particularly enjoy the huge side window which comes down to about halfway to the elbow!
Notice also that the hood is visible in a manner that makes placing the SUV easy.
The ride is firm yet yielding...very...
I believe seeing and test driving the GX550, getting up close with the interior, the layout, the luggage area, the wheel/tire combo is the key.
The GX, especially the Overtrail trim is very impressive in reality and videos and pics do not do it justice. I love its stance.
I suspect the...
I added some pictures today and will take one with the seats folded later and post it.
The view from the driver's seat is very open in all directions and confidence inspiring.
I have had three Landcruisers in the past, the first was purchased in 1993 and the last in 2016.
The ride of the GX is...
It’s the last of the 2024 and the reason was to avoid the $3,000 increase in price for the 2025 Overtrail because of a 1” increased height and a built in compressor.
I find the Overtrail plus already has plenty of ground clearance for my intended use.
I have compared these two very desirable vehicles for several months and have read and watched as many videos as humanly possible.
I am sure there are others who are debating between these two as well.
I compared the GX550 and the 2025 Tacoma interior and exterior in person.
Finally I made the...
Exactly why I am leaning TRD Pro.
Also, I think I might find the Fox shocks of the Pro more useful as I do not intend serious rock crawling.
I find the A-pillar mounted air intake of the TH to be not visually appealing and it might contribute to increased sound in the cabin.
I find the hood...
Toyota TRD Pro should have the same degree of under body protection that the Trailhunter gets.
I am sure there will be TP owners who will rock crawl just as much as the TH owners will.
Glad to see steel protection for gas tanks for both trims.
Great pictures and info. Thanks!
If I did not know which generation was which, I would have a hard time telling which of these handsome beasts was the newer generation. Both look the part, ready to take on the outdoors.
Does this 5th Gen have a lift?
Not turbo noise, rather the Air sucking intake whoosh from the snorkel at the passenger A pillar.
Turbo noise is a whistling sound at the exhaust end and not the intake. My 911 Turbo with the sport exhaust pretty much eliminates the turbo whistle and all you hear is a glorious angry roar which...
Not all promises/threats made to win an election become realized once the chief objective has been achieved. Tariffs of that magnitude would disrupt trade in a complex connected world globally. It may not achieve the objectives and may even lead to the exact opposite results. I am certain...
The color choice for the TRD Pro and Trailhunter should be more extensive. Also, why not allow mudbath and Everest to be made available for both the top trims?
