If we expect 2 months, then the builder should go live in Jan as well due to build/ship times from Japan. Pencil April for the first ones to arrive to West Coast perhaps?
I ended up putting my name on a LC, it'll arrive later this month. Couldn't wait since my current car met deer recently...
I'm sure they'll be at the show, and probably like last year's show with the LC "information is pending or soon". LC launched in May when it should have launched in Nov. You get the idea here. :)
Not sure Toyota is fazed by much of this considering their demand is still high.
Could be a dealer exchange perhaps. I know that I got an email from Toyota about the 4R, they gave a link to the press release. It felt to me like the start of the hype up, but that could be wishes.
It'll have two engines.

Standard i-FORCE turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine produces 278 horsepower, 317 lb.-ft. of torque
Available i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain produces up to 326 horsepower, 465...
If they want to launch early next year, I would think Nov. As this is built in Japan it takes about 30 days to get to west shores. AT least that is the experience when the LC was launched. Generally they hit the go button when they are ready to build, or allocations begin. Fingers crossed.
I think that demand has indeed caught up, that the new model or car bubble is on the other side. It looks like they sold more this launch, then they did in 2021 (3700 sold) US figures. The question will be, how many 2025s will sell considering the 4R launch...
Probably due to change over. It's not a minor change, it's likely a schedule they put together and kept to it. Be it a month delay or two, might be cheaper to keep the change over plan than stop it.
I do not know, I believe they did not open it to general public in another show. I assume you are referencing the 250+ exhibitors? I'm not seeing the 2pm tho. Could be difference in viewing.
Over on the LC forums, they’ve been going though the 2025 builder options. There’s no mention on the builder about a change of tires. Still listed 18 & 20.
Can you provide your source on this? This is interesting
Saw a dealer on FB site say: early 2025 for gas, spring for hybrids. First time I've seen that statement, so take it with a grain of salt.
Most seem to agree early 2025 for first on the ground deliveries.
If Dec is deliveries, then we should see the builder live in Oct ish due to to port times?
Not initially.
There’s lists of people wanting the new 4R, and if the first guy doesn’t want it, they’ll go to the next. It’ll take a few months to get past the initial demand.
Example LC is just now catching up preexisting demands in Washington. Other areas may have more availability.
Re delays: They already said it's a supply chain issue that affects all three models (LX, LC and 4R). Considering it's the same plant as LC, then it very likely is the roof racks. seems many of port holds due to cross bars not being available. With the 4R producing in greater numbers...
No Mark Up Toyota on FB = One of the dealers said "this is our last allocation of the 24 4runner". Spotted another one saying something similar. Maybe they are still doing the phase out on the original timing and yet, I'm also seeing Spring for 25 4runner on that same page from dealers.
Bunch...
