Mine didn't start until after I hit 5000 miles but I was in Colorado and dryer air for the first 5000 miles until I returned home. It was once I got back to Virginia that the brake squeal started for me but it's not that bad and doesn't bother me.
I get it without a hood scoop. The water pools in the gallies on each side of the hood and when you stop it spills forward and then splashes up onto the windshield.
I went back and forth with this as well simply because of the snorkel. I too watched every review and thought it was too obnoxious. At the end of the day, I chose the trailhunter because I wanted everest, no moon roof, the air compressor, and the yellow accents instead of red. I do find the...
I may try eco again now that I'm back home since it was windy for most of the trip but the majority of the miles are with it in normal mode. At my next fill up I will switch it for the tank and see how it does in my normal area and habits. So far it's staying around 19-20 in normal.
1. Good to know.
2. I just wish it would remember which setting you use for next time instead of resetting it each time.
3. Did not even think about that, thank you for the reminder :) .
4. I have them set to 33 psi. When we picked it up from the dealer and drove home I was telling my hubby...
He was a great passenger! He's 6 months old and this was his first road trip and did great. I had been taking him every where I could to get him used to being in the car for this trip.
I had a couple people stop me and ask about it for sure. Another 6th gen owner followed me to the gas station just to say hi and comment on the color and then realized it was a trailhunter and freaked out as they hadn't seen one yet.
I've owned my trailhunter for 3 weeks today with 5200 miles and I'm loving it! As I've said before, I purchased it out of state and drove it home 500 miles. Two days later, I packed it up for a road trip to Colorado.
On the way to Colorado, I tested out driving in Eco, Normal and Sport mode to...
Wonder if the steering angle sensor needs to be reset. On my Chevy my steering wheel was off center a little bit and I had to have the sensor reset to straighten it out.
I chose the trailhunter over the pro because I didn’t like the mudbath color and I didn’t want black, gray or white, didn’t want a moonroof since I don’t even use the one on my car. The downfall of the trailhunter is the hideous snorkel but it’s tolerable since I do not ever drive with the...
Well, I will say that it was annoying on my drive in the wind. It was 50-60 mph winds all across Indiana and then Kansas which is normal. The turbo stayed spooled up and constant whistle. The window down is a hard no.
But, 2600 miles in and I’m loving it!
