TRAIL HUNTER owener here. Mine has similar issues. When I put it in reverse it struggles to go back as if its trying to find the right gear. In a way it giggles back and forth until I stop, change it to park and THEN it will work.

You can't really check unless (I think) a dealer uses a scan tool Or the entire fluidd is drained. Unfortunately for this 4runner no dip stick is available for the trans.
Yea.. I was getting a feeling that would happen. Unless a failure happens they can't do much about it. Specially the transfluid since they would have to drain it completely to see the issue. Its also not recommended usually to replace transmission fluid so early.
I will try at it too but ask...
I have hears about that. Another poster mentioned they got a message for hybrid system failing. When they took it to the dealer they said it was low on trans fluid

I would be able to rise the bracket slightly high but as you can see the two screws that are together in the middle cant be moved separately. What I can do is move the plate higher so put both screws together to the yellow spots you mentioned. I will post a pics later today.
