Been a while but here are some small stuff I did to the rig.
Before picture of the OEM horn. Still not sure what Toyota was thinking by putting such tiny horns in a vehicle of this size. Bought a premium horn from Amazon. Difficulty: 1/10 1 being easiest.
Before and after of the cargo LED...
You’re welcome and congrats on your rig. You’ll love it!
As for the center console, I ended up not using the dividers underneath. The tray will fit perfectly without it and it’s flushed as well.
and that’s perfectly fine to wait. Just responding back to you because you stated that they tried a few on hands and it didn’t fit. If they got the correct part number then it’d fit fine. GL and hopefully they’ll make a trd version.
Can assure if they got this part for you. It is a 100% fitment for your TRDpro. Like myself and others with pros, we were able to install it and it’s the perfect fitment.
I'm so sorry! It is so bad on mine and I can't unsee it either. Especially on an overcast day, it is so off vs. the rest of the bumper, hood, and fenders. I'm going to take the front bumper apart and my body shop is going to repaint it again to match it correctly. Toyota is not doing...
Don’t hate or love it. Wish it was a darker shade of blue for my gloomy state. Was hoping to trade in my ice cap but now have to wait to see if we’ll get cement or some type of dark red.
I finally got my exhaust tip from the dealership after a bit of back and forth.
Is this the spacer you were referring to?
Also, where exactly did you mount the tip on the exhaust? No matter where I position and tighten mine, it still feels loose.
Update: NVM, was able to tighten it down and...
I believe this normal. I have this on mine as well and it’s not a defect. A factory intended design feature to provide an extra protection against rock chips.
Is it just a slip on over the existing exhaust?
I can’t believe I’m still going back with the GM at my dealership trying to get my exhaust tip for my pro. I even sent him screenshots from this thread and the part number. He came back with, the part number is for the 5th gen 4Runner not the 6th...
@Mudbath let me know if you want them tinted. I can give you my shop that did mine. Amazing fellas over there and quality work.
Also, love the wrap. It goes so well with mudbath. I wonder how it’ll look with icecap.
ICE CAP owners, I’m sorry if I’ll ruin this for you. But can you guys please confirm for me or I’m just going crazy?
I noticed on this top piece that it’s more of a brownish or cream color than the hood and side panels. Looks like this is normal on all the ice caps I’m seeing. Maybe it’s off...
I swear the GM at my dealership does not want to give me the black exhaust tip. Been a week and he said, “I sent it to my rep we will see what he comes up with”.
Any advice how should I go about with this?
I’m in the Mill Creek and Lake Stevens area. Tomorrow I’ll be heading into MSFT in Redmond around 8am.
I checked the spreadsheet and not that many pros are allocated for our state yet.
