Just did mine today @2500, will do it again at 6k then 10k then every 5k. I will say it was pretty dirty for only 2500 miles. Also 8 bolts to take off 2 plastic worthless skids, I'll be upgrading to the same skid I put on my '25 Tacoma!
$90 bucks for a 6 qt oil change?? Wow that's pricey I did...
I installed the Prodigy RF, is that the Prodigy you're asking about? If so, it works fine, and I like the separate brake controller module and not using my phone. It was fairly easy to install, drilling holes in my new camper frame to mount didn't excite me but it looks good once installed.
I figured this out the hard way on my '25 Tacoma, I thought I ordered the Trailhunter skid but this one showed up. Got lucky as I like the 'TOYOTA' stamping better, here's my post on the Tacoma forum:
Toyota OEM Skid Plates | Tacoma World
So what I did lines up with this BUT like I said earlier the performance was not as good as my Tacoma. I turned the AC on by hitting the switch which illuminated a green light above and took it out of AUTO, Normal drive mode, temp to LO, rear seat vents off, fan all the way up. It did get better...
Makes sense but my Tacoma isn't doing this, could be the smaller cab but the air coming out feels cooler. I'll continue to play with it and see if I can figure it out before taking it to the dealer. Of course, here in CO it's going to be rainy and high 60's low 70's the next few days.
We have finally reached the 80's here in CO, been a chilly start to the summer. I set the AC all the way down to LO, face mode only, max fan and turned the rear off, at 81 degrees it wasn't keeping up. I have a '25 Tacoma Hybrid as well same trim level and it keeps up fine. Is this a 4Runner...
I wont be driving and charging will only need to charge when it's sitting in camp here and there. Good idea though, I'll keep it in mind if I'm wrong about my usage. We have 300AH Lithium in the camper and I think the Delta Pro is 300AH+ so if my greedy electrical needs are more than 600AH with...
I can confirm it's normal, I have an Ecoflow Delta Pro and tested the 2400w inverter by charging it and WOW that fan is loud. Both in our Tacoma and 4Runner it was the same, It was charging at 1700w. If it wasn't in the center console I don't think it would be as bad.
Gotcha so we think EXACTLY a like, I was just reading your post wrong! Yes me too hate even bringing it in but the Carfax mark helps for resale, these dealer idiots always seem to find way to mess up a simple oil change.
That's not the point, Toyota only covers 2 oil changes in the 1st 20k which is not enough, they should have 5k intervals for 4 total. Are you saying you think 10k is good per Toyota engineers?
Exactly, I do 5 tire rotations on anything I have that has a real spare and non-directional tires. I have always just brought the spare to the front driver, then F Driver to R Driver, R Driver to F Passenger, F Passenger to R passenger, R Passenger to spare. Keeping it consistent so I can't mess...
This is confusing, I'm reading the maintenance guide supplement and in the maintenance chart it has to replace the engine oil every 10k miles. Then on the page after the charts it says for special operating conditions to change it every 5k miles, and your dealer is telling you every 7k Miles...
