I've run a 5100 kit with coilovers (toytec) on my 5th gen for 8 years. I think that truck rides a little softer than my ORP but not by much. I personally don't think the ORP rides harsh for a body on frame SUV that's set up to go off-road. Curious what folks are comparing it to?
Anyone have this issue and had the dealer actually fix it? I just KNOW that if I take mine to the dealer I will just waste my time and they will give me excuses.
Bummer about the KO3s dude. Your rig looks so damn good though! I hope you get your pro wheel situation sorted out. Do you have any pics of the stock tires on the pro wheels and how much they poke out? I am waiting for my pro wheels to show up and wondering if I need to order the nytop fender...
Stop using eco mode. It gives me over 1mpg worse on average. It's kind of a known thing with all the new toyotas including tundra andd land cruiser that eco mode isnt actually more efficient. Also this is the non-hybrid thread. There is an MPG thread for the hybrid on here too somewhere.
Hell yea dude! Very similar to how mine will be set up. Any chance you have any straight on pics of the tires and how much they poke with the TRD pro wheels? Can't decide if I need to get the nytop fender flares to cover them when my pro wheels arrive.
Just took our first road trip out of town. Pleasantly surprised at 19.7 MPG from Austin > Houston going 75-80 with a car full of stuff and a dog. My old 5th gen would've gotten 15.
Also, the 6th gen now shows up on fuelly. Keep logging those tanks!
I think about it every single time I see one on the road. I just got back from Japan and I saw a ton of LC250s and they're just so damn good looking. The price was the deciding factor for me, but as soon as the Land Cruiser middle trim is under $65k, I am probably going to swap for a lightly...
Thanks dude! I was thinking the Nytop may be the better option and this proves it. I just bought the pro wheels for my ORP and am worried the poke will be too much for my taste...
I just ordered these and need to figure out the blind bolt sitation, but can you use these as a step? My wife is short and this is her daily so was hoping they are functional as a running board. Thanks!
