Update… took it in and and dealer couldn't replicate the issue…
i don't think they truly waited for it to fully cool down… they did a memory reset and thats about it..
will monitor if the issue persists
i want to love it, may go back and put a oe tire back on though.. depend on how much mpg hit there is.. its a d load tire so it could be a pretty big hit
yeah i realize itll be a hit on mpg… just curious if its going to cause too much stress on the system… i saw that the or and orp come with 32.6 so i put that into my equation … so im curious if its that much of a stress on the system

i ended up putting 275/60r20 on my limited, which is a 4.8 percent increase in diameter. 31.5 to 33 ive seen the various posts of other people doing the same.
my question is… is that percentage acceptable im seeing literature saying no more than 3 percent but other literature saying 15...

my question is… if you drive hard on the highway but you drive an additional 5 min when you get off the freeway, does the turbo still need to be cooled down before power off? or will the extra non...
i swapped my oil at 1500 miles, engine seems smoother and my average mileage seems to be up… could be a “placebo” effect… but it feels like its running smoother
I'm running 87 in my 4runner… if it was NA 85 would probably be fine, but with the turbo i wouldn’t want to risk it… plus its new and i wouldn’t want to do something that could be detrimental to the engine.
mine is only the first 2 shifts when its been sitting for a while, then 1 and 2 are smooth.
im hoping its just part of breaking it in.. how many miles do you have on your sr5?

has anyone experienced a hard transmission shift for 1st and 2nd gear when initially starting the 4runner, the transmission shifting smooths out almost instantly after that.
curious if anyone has experience this and if its anything to worry about/is there a fix
