Did you get the E rated tires? Most are going for C rated in 285/70/17. The 18 inch wheels on the new 4 runner don’t have C rated. It’s exactly why I put 17’s on it

I used the new Tacoma trd off road 17 inch wheels powder coated all black. The stock offset and 285 70 17 have no issues. Just an fyi as another option.

Time to swap out those street tires. I swapped out my wheels and put on the new Tacoma trd off-road wheels but in all black. 285/70/17 and I still have the fox lift kit in the garage. It’s to hot outside so maybe fall or winter and it will be lifted.

Mine hasn’t rattled but others have?

Relax man. Everyone was doing it in the 5th gen’s including me. I had no issues on bfg c rated. Tires wore even. Our dealer sold them like hotcakes. I don’t think the dealer cares about the law since they have a partnership with the local PD.

Toyota use to sell the previous gen 4 runners lifted on 285s with 7” wide sema wheels all day long. I don’t think it’s an issue. I personally acquired 2025 Tacoma trd off road 17” wheels powder coated all black. They are a 7.5 inch wide wheel and it’s fine. 7.5 is technically the lowest you can...

FYI if you end up revisiting this….Fox told me their front springs are linear. The only problem I see with mixing a progressive spring in the back is making defensive highway maneuvers dangerous. I believe the shocks themselves are linear

My question is why not stick with the suspension you have? It’s an old man EMU system. You can buy 2 inch rear lift springs from Arb designed specifically for the suspension you have. I’m not sure if your front shocks have the clip springs to lift the front. I know if you buy the same suspension...

I think I would have ordered the OME rear lift springs that lift the rear 2” and then either moved the front circlip to bring the front up to a 3” lift. No circlips? I’m sure someone has a solution. The OME KIT from arb which is the same as the trail hunter (just not lifted very much) is a 3/2...

What is your rake front to rear? Just curious.

FYI I have these in my garage and they ship with a 2.25inch lift in front.
