Honestly, the 5th gen really does feel more tank-like and durable than the 6th gen IMO. If you want to save money and want a more robust/strong vehicle get the 5th gen. If all you care about it technology in the cabin (screens/dash/etc), then get the 6th gen.

Doesn't that only apply to vehicles with a final assembly location within the US? I thought all 4runners were assembled in Japan, so they wouldn't qualify.

I took my stock TRD ORP on a short dirt, washboard road today and the entire truck shook violently. The windows and other parts of the 4Runner rattled like crazy. The backseat looked like it was attached to an earthquake simulator. Is this normal?

Sounds like the Limited is your cheapest option if you "require" power folding mirrors, dual zone AC and leather.

My wife and I have a 2023 and 2025 4runner, both TRD ORPs. Honestly, I'd keep the limited you have. The prev gen has better interior materials and overall feels like a more solid, well-built vehicle. Plus the ride quality in the prev gen is better (IMO).

My wife has a 23 4runner and I have a 25 4runner, both TRD ORPs. I can honestly say the 25 is noticeably harsher on small bumps/cracks in the road. It's not tire pressure, it's just the suspension...especially in the rear. I'm hoping OME or Fox come out with an aftermarket suspension kit soon.

Test drive them. They all drive differently. Make sure to drive on some bumpy roads too.

Honestly, if ride quality is a deal breaker you may want to just try another brand altogether. I test drove the LC and it was still jittery (though a tiny bit better than the 4Runner). I also had a 2024 Tundra briefly, also jittery. I’ve been wondering if the TNGA platform has something to do...

I know what you’re talking about. I think my TRD ORP is a little jittery too. Had a similar experience with the new Tundra as well. I wonder if it’s just a characteristic of the TNGA platform. Lowering PSI to what is recommended on the door sticker helped a tiny bit. I’m just learning to live...

Just wanted to say that I appreciate this post. Rear legroom and poor ride quality compared to prev get are my main concerns that have me on the fence about buying. l Love the styling though.

I tried it on Comfort and Normal mode. The Salesmon said he drove it by himself prior to my test drive because he's car shopping too, and he also thought it bounced around on the roads. I definitely want power seats with memory settings and the big screen, so SR5 is out. I think I'm going to try...

I test drove the 2025 limited and didn't care for the ride quality. It hoped all over the road and felt unstable. The other people in the 4runner with me thought the same thing. Anyone else notice this? Would the off-road premium be better?
