  1. I keep forgetting to lock my Trailhunter!!

Thanks for the information. A simple thing that should have been programmed in.
  2. I keep forgetting to lock my Trailhunter!!

The last truck I had was set to auto lock everything when I walked away. Apparently I can’t do that with the 4Runner, So as a result I occasionally just walk away without locking it up! Can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Anyone know if this is possible with the 4Runner? Thanks
  3. Weight of rear seats = 150 lbs in Trailhunter

Is using Carista a necessary step? I’m thinking of removing the rear seats in my 2026 Traillhunter. What will happen if I remove them without disabling the rear seat warning with Carista first? I see conflicting information on this. Some seem to unplug the seats without issue and others suggest...
  4. Rear seat removal for camping

OK, thanks. Appreciate it. Taking them out tomorrow. I just had another thought. Yearly car safety inspection. They check to make sure all the seatbelts function properly. I guess if I don’t have back seats I don’t need back seat seatbelts.
  5. Rear seat removal for camping

Hello, sorry if this has already been posted, I did search and couldn't find anything. Is there anything i need to worry about when removing the rear seats of a 2026 trailhunter? I know there are electrical connections to unplug. Will doing this cause any problems with the system? Does Toyota...
  6. What's The Current Mileage on Your 6th Gen?

    139 Miles. Trailhunter.
  7. Real-world use of 4Runner’s 2400W Inverter Power Outlet: gear, tips & cautions

Hello, so is there any advantage to having the 6th gen TRD Off-Road MAX as apposed to the gas only version as it relates to camping? I thought all the extra batteries in the Hybrid would give me all sorts of options when it comes to powering camp essentials. I realize the 4Runner can function as...
  8. Looking for recommendation for trailer brake controller

I would much prefer to pay $400 for the factory Tow Tech option which includes the controller and digital mirror and they can keep the garbage options like “screen protector, door scuff guards, door edge guards” etc.
  9. Does the standard BSM “Blind Spot Monitor” adjust for towed camper?

Thanks for the information. Yeah I definitely want the tow tech package. But I’ll have to settle without if it’s not part of the options of what’s available. The best $400 option there is and for only $400 they should make it standard equipment.
  10. Does the standard BSM “Blind Spot Monitor” adjust for towed camper?

Thanks!! Sounds good. I’ll download the manual and read it thoroughly. Thanks Again!
  11. Does the standard BSM “Blind Spot Monitor” adjust for towed camper?

Thank you for the information. I will likely have to buy 4Runner without the Tow Package. Do you know a location that posts that information? Not that I doubt your word, but I’m about to spend alot of money and want to be sure. Prior to your post, I was on the phone with Toyota.com and they...
  12. Does the standard BSM “Blind Spot Monitor” adjust for towed camper?

Hello, I’m looking at the 2026 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium iforce MAX. I want the optional “Tow Tech Package” but if I can’t get it on the 4Runner I’m looking at will the “Standard Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)” adjust to include a towed camper or is that only on the Tow Tech Package? Thanks
  13. How many members in this forum?

Thank you for the information. Very helpful.
  14. How many members in this forum?

Just trying to gauge the frequency of complaints about the new 4Runner. I have one coming in in a couple of days. If there are 200,000 members, then the level of complaints I see is no big deal. If there was truly a probem a lot more people would be posting about it. If on the other hand...

Hello, can anyone tell me approximately how many members are in this forum. Thanks!
  16. Advertised price included $699 doc fee. They added it back on at the dealership.

I’ve decided that what it boils down to is if I wanted to pay the “smart price” I would indeed have the Doc fee included in that price. So instead, I got 7.1% off the "smart price" and I pay the Doc fee of $704. I can live with that!
  17. Advertised price included $699 doc fee. They added it back on at the dealership.

It’s all good. I was getting ready for a battle but I’ve decided that an argument can be made on both sides. It is a good deal after all.
  18. Advertised price included $699 doc fee. They added it back on at the dealership.

Yeah, that’s pretty much the way I’m looking at it now.
  19. Advertised price included $699 doc fee. They added it back on at the dealership.

Actually No, I’m still going to buy it. I’m just a little tired of Dealership always trying to get one over on you. The discount is actually 7.1% I was just rounding off. 🙂
