So I essentially made a 'handle' with duct tape on the front of the vaultek. The safe sits under the passenger seat and I can reach over and grab the 'handle' to pull it up onto the passenger seat to open it. I'll try and get a picture tomorrow.

I used a Vaultek lifepod cabled under the passenger seat. It didn't seem like there was sufficient space under the driver's side to fit it.

I'm about to start a similar project and was searching around to see if anyone else has figured a good one to tap ahead of time for backlight-only-when-dash-lights-are-on. Yes. Backlight to Aux 5 and the lights themselves to Aux 3.

I've installed their ditch lights, backup lights, and hitch pod backup light and on all of them the wiring was excellent quality / easiest integration I've ever done.

FWIW I do lots of electrical projects (for instance installed Diode Dynamics ditch lights last week) and I never bother to disconnect the battery. Obviously do what makes you feel safe but as long as you're not arbitrarily connecting wires where they don't belong it's not necessary.

Are you pressing the Mode button on the steering wheel by accident?
