Hey y'all
Took my 4Runner on a new to me trail this week. Tried some new camera equipment/mounting equipment/camera settings/video editing and recorded 99 percent of the trail on the way in. Trail was pretty muddy from the recent rains we've had so.. plenty of questionable mud holes! There...
Most of that is locked I believe, are they the ser
Nice man, yup I agree, I’m
Not even sure where I’ve pushed the antenna to right now I’ve pulled the unit so many times. I bought some Velcro cable ties and once I get my mic I’m going to run and the volume know I’m going to install I’m going...
Hey Y'all,
I completed an early demo of the Cartrimhome c12 head unit. This is just a little bit of its functionality.
Thanks for your support. I have a trail video coming up soon but not too excited about the video footage as it was my first time filming on the trail. I'll also have a...
I still have a few questions. How can you view, reset, or manage the trip information and maintenance settings with this unit? My understanding is that these features may not work without the factory radio.
Also, what app are you using? If possible, could you make a demo video for your YouTube...
Yeah it does work better with the gain up. I communicate with a large elderly population for my job and it does not quite get the job done for me so that could be the difference. I’m looking at a aftermarket Sony mic that apparently has very good sound quality and I was thinking of running it...
It’s all there, this is in the android automotive app, called a/v or audio and video. All the previous functions remain intact in separate apps through android automotive and are expanded upon providing even more info that would be on the 8inch display. One perk that is notable is that you can...
That makes sense because the microphone built into this unit is no good. I plan on buying a mic that plugs into a mic input on the back. You should look into too if you it’s on the same cable harness that I plugged the Nintendo into.
I installed a Super Nintendo Classic into my 6th Gen Toyota 4Runner using the CarTrimHome C12 14.6” Android Automotive head unit!
In this video, I walk through how I connected the Nintendo to the C12, including the video and audio connections, and show how well it works on the massive 14.6”...
Ok, I see you have 4 connectors there. I only have one of the black connectors left. I could not locate an additional one. Cartrimhome is very responsive to any emails though so far in my experience.
Yup, if you didn’t connect the rca cables, audio should still work fine and confirm those 3 would not be used. I took it apart last night while filming part of my next video, unplugged the rca cables and still was getting volume. I did not go much further than testing the audio which worked...
Hey,
Thank you for the compliment.
I was told by car trim home that you may not need the rca cable that attaches to the white plug pictured. Yes, there are 6 speakers in the sr5. You can use the audio options in the unit to balance to each speaker to make sure you have sound just to double...
Created my first ever video and YouTube post of me installing the CarTrimHome c12 head unit. More content to come. I will be available for any questions tomorrow evening. If you're interested check it out!
Thanks
We’ve had a good bit of snow here in NE TN and I’ve been impressed as well with how good she handled these horribly managed roads. I have Falken Wildpeaks on stock rims.
