I don't know iPhone, but with Google Map on my Android phone, I can select any area (or areas) and download all maps directly from Google to my phone's internal memory storage and then use those maps in navigation in offline mode (when no cell data is available.)
Wish you luck. I totally understand. It's frustrated to have to go thru this with a new truck, no matter how they put it. Please keep us updated. There was a TSB for the Lexus GX 550 with the same problem but not sure if that was an updated part.
If you're talking about the wheel lug nut that requires a key to loosen, why bother? Wheel lock nut is not as strong as solid nut as it has to be hollow to fit the key. Beside, all wheel thieves worth their 'name' already have a whole set of keys that fit everything in the world.
@timelapse Thanks for the pics! It looks almost completely flat with the seat removed. I think I will at least remove the single seat on mine to make room for sleeping.
So it's fixable. Then I wonder why Toyota didn't just put something that doesn't squeal to begin with, as they already knew what the problem was?
Wouldn't that save them tons of money by not having to do warranty service and parts replacement?
Understood, but still, expecting a $70k-$90k truck to be quiet when backing up in the morning (and not waking up everybody around the neighborhood) is not too much to ask 🙂
If Toyota provides 40A, I assume they put in the proper gauge. That's why I wish they put in 40A for in-cabin instead of 10A. I'm not sure if there is an easy way to run thick gauge wires from the engine compartment to inside the cabin?
