  1. Front & Rear Differential Fluid Changed / Serviced (2026 4Runner 6th Gen)

I thought that may have been a typo in the manual. I was thinking that it was supposed to read as 5.9 pints, not quarts. Almost 6 qts in a Toyota rear diff is pretty insane!
  2. SXTH Element Trail Pipe installed

This seems to be "fixing" an issue that doesn't exist. When I look at my Trailhunter, it looks like the spare tire is more likely to touch the ground than the tailpipe. Has anyone actually scraped the factory tailpipe while offroading?
  3. How to get access to the plastic under the rear side window?

The install doc for Victory 4x4's molle panels can help guide you in the right direction. https://www.victory4x4.com/product/V4RRMP-6G.html
  4. Father’s Day Toyota Sale

I'm curious, shouldn't that be covered under warranty or is it excluded due to trail damage?
  5. How's your Toyota paint job holding up?

    Yeah, it's expensive for sure!
  6. How's your Toyota paint job holding up?

Well, there's fact and opinion. Fact: PPF will protect the clearcoat against rock chips, scratches, and UV damage. Fact: Ceramic coating will protect the clearcoat against UV damage and make the vehicle easier to wash/clean. Those aren't opinions, preconceptions, or superstitions. That's just...
  7. How's your Toyota paint job holding up?

One can argue that taking care of your body, eating healthy, and exercising only delays the inevitable as well. What's your point? Are you simply trying to start an argument? The fact is PPF, ceramic coatings, or any paint protection for that matter is going to protect the paint and keep it in...
  8. How's your Toyota paint job holding up?

Improper wash techniques and neglect generally lead to the swirls and marring you see on vehicle paint. Most modern vehicles, including Toyota, have thin paint so proper car is necessary to keep it looking it's best. If you're concerned about rock chips and scratches, PPF is the way to go. I...
  9. Grab Handle for drivers A pilar? Any mods?

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I paid for my order with them via Paypal and have an expected delivery date of June 10th. Hopefully everything arrives.
  10. Grab Handle for drivers A pilar? Any mods?

That's quite a bold claim, except for the AI image part. Have you experienced this in the past with them?
  11. Grab Handle for drivers A pilar? Any mods?

I ordered the Lexland A-pillar grab handle that's made specifically for the 4Runner. It should arrive by this weekend and I hope to get it installed either this weekend or next weekend. https://lexland.com/products/4runner-driver-side-grab-handle-a-pillar-assist-handle-for-toyota
  12. 4Runner Oil Catch Can (SXTH Element)

Except, that isn't the argument. Sxth element markets the catch can to eliminate oil buildup in the intake tract. Reading is fundamental and many of the commenters in this post seem to have glossed over that. " Our system filters out the oily blowby recycled thru the turbocharger/intercooler...
  13. Something I’ve noticed during first few min of startup

I've noticed this in my Trailhunter as well. My assumption is that the computer does this to allow time for the oil to warm up so it's safer on the turbo. I'm curious how Toyota achieved this, since turbos are exhaust driven. My guess is that there is a restrictor plate that's allowing the...
  14. ARB 4x4 Is Here! Let’s Talk 6th Gen Builds

Thanks! There have been quite a few people who have replaced this factory roof rack so they can add the MOLLE panels. If ARB offered something that would fit the factory rack, I'd purchase it. Another, less common, reason for adding rear MOLLE panels is for glass protection from car thieves.
  15. ARB 4x4 Is Here! Let’s Talk 6th Gen Builds

Thanks for the response! I purchased a Rotopax gas can and then found out that they need to be manually vented. If I mount it horizontally on the roof rack, I would need to remove the gas can anytime it needs to be vented. Rear window MOLLE panels are very common on 4runners, I feel this is an...
  16. Recommended engine break-in and oil change frequency + factory oil analysis test (by Motor Oil Geek)

You don't need to use the best, most expensive oil based on the fact it's a turbo engine. That's flawed logic, but if you have money burning a hole in your pocket then go ahead.
  17. Is Ceramic Coating worth it ?

Is a ceramic coating worth it? Yes, 100% Should you have paid that much for a subpar dealership product? No, 100% not. I've leased cars and ceramic coated them. The coating helps protect the paint and makes it 10x easier to clean. Personally, I prefer my vehicles to look nice while others who...
  18. Why did you pick your 4Runner?

Was curious why you bought your 4Runner? I needed a dedicated camping vehicle with nimble off-road maneuverability. What was the other competition? I considered the Ranger Raptor and GMC Canyon AT4 And what do you use your 4runner for? Primarily camping/ off-road. I love the styling and how...
