If going from a stock 245/70R17 to a 285/70R17 I am just increasing the width and not the sidewall size, right? So, in theory, more tire, more air in larger space to absorb bumps and defects in road?

Agreed on looks. Your SR5 does look good. Did you notice additional road noise? Did the larger tires help reduce the impact of bumps and potholes?

That is a relief to know. I got the rack a few months ago and yes, its built very well. I got the Super Duty and added wheel chocks for extra stability. I got the ramps too, nice for getting heavier ebikes on.

Ditto here.... If its not "fixable" that could be a deal breaker. After looking at the TSB, it seems that its directed at random incorrect trailer detection not when I bike Rack is fitted. I hope, at least it is a known and rectifiable issue as I hope to have the bike racks on and off frequently.
