any updates? Has anyone taken delivery of a hybrid 4Runner?

Any truck is going to be "plus tax" (unless you live in a no tax state) so that is irrelevant, but I like to think markups are on their way out. And 5k is pretty small, many dealers in the So Cal area are trying to sell TRD Pro 4Runners 77-79k, without tax. Ridiculous.

Lame as hell, I will remove them.

Looks like it has a build date of early April. Your salesperson should be able to tell you the build date, expected departure date, expected arrival date, and estimated time in port before delivery.

Thank you for letting us know. They don't mark them as "sold" but as "pending sale." About 90% of the Pro's listed are pending sale.

Them too?! Damn, maybe this isn't worth the effort? This is how I got my Pro, as well as someone I worked with. My understanding was if the dealer was using Smartpath then the info was reliable. I know that as soon as we put deposits down the toyota.com site had them marked as "pending sale"...

Unfortunately, GST (Gulf States Toyota) is nothing like the Toyota you and I are used to on the West Coast and operates more like a cartel then an auto dealership group. It's pretty much "their way or the highway." Has anyone *ever* bought a car from GST, or SET, without all the forced add-ons?
