Yeah I must have looked at MTs website 100 times looking at specs haha. Yes it being wider than officially recommended it makes me hesitant as I usually prefer narrower wheel vs wide, but this will be my first skinny and don't want a 7inch, partly for less availability and if I want a wider tire...
That's great to hear, I'm in Manitoba as well and deciding between Van44 and Greenlane and it's nice to see some real world info on Canadian products. With these small bumpers steel vs aluminum isn't as big of a deal for me regarding weight, but the Van44 is cheaper and has a free install...
Hey man, I'm glad I found this as I'm looking at pretty much the same setup!
I'm fairly set on the 255/85/17 MT Baja Boss and funny enough want the Method 705's with +35 offset (considering the 316's in 8" +25). I was scouring the internet as 8.5" wide wheels are on the wide side for fitment...
Nice!
Were you able to get the Dissent bumper in Canada somewhere or had to get it shipped direct? I like theirs the best over some other options but with the dollar difference, shipping, and duty I don't think it would be worth it for me. I've also been looking for the Badlands apex winch in...
Very nice, I'm looking at this, the Dissent off-road one, and Greenlane. I'm in Canada so want to get one from here to not have to worry about shipping or duty.
Anyone know if the mesh inserts are removable to be able to reach the clutch lever or can you reach it from the bottom? I want to be...
Nice updates! I'm between Greenlane off-road and OK Expedition for skids. Might go Greenlane as I want a low-pro winch bumper too and rock rails so might try and get a discount if I buy all 3.
Was the thoughts for woolwax just the rough winters we have here for corrosion? How much was it?
Looks awesome! I'm also in Winnipeg (Blue ORP). I asked about some tire details in another post but curious if the no rubbing (small trim to rear) was with your lift you have now or before?
Sweet ride! I've got a blue ORP as well.
Man I don't know how many times I've compared sizes/weights/load rating for the Baja Boss ATs. I wish they made some C loads in more options. How are you liking those pizza cutter 35 E's? Quoted at 64lb which is much lighter than than 315/70/17 (71)...
Definitely does. E's are better off on a 2500 series vehicle or someone towing heavy or aggressive offroad. I feel like a C load is a perfect mix of lighter but still durable enough for offroad. I'd be more hesitant offroading too much with an SL tire. But if you're just everyday driving and...
I'm in the same boat but my ORP isn't coming for a few months (Canada) so I've got time to do a bit more research. My big thing is I want a more hybrid rugged terrain tire rather than just an AT. MT Baja boss is on the list too but a big thing for me is I absolutely do not want E load tires that...
It's not models like the SR5 people are talking about when referencing the big price jumps. It's ones like the pro jumping up 12k in one model year.
Also, I hate the argument about the improvements. "Yeah well it's got the best fox shocks, a much bigger screen, better tech etc". The old gen...
Agreed, I've been planning on an Off-road and very disappointed it doesn't have the swaybar DC. The Trailhunter is too expensive and it's payload is terrible so the TRD-O would be the best midpoint of capability and price.
I'm not sure about the SR5 part but that offroad is definitely a premium. Most other reviewers said it as well as it has Softex, digital rearview mirror, and moonroof which are premium only options. Frankly, I would wager a lot of people on these forums know more than a lot of these reviewers.
I just watched Doug Demuros review. Does anyone know if the driver side inside door trim have the hidden flashlight on all trims or just the Trail Hunter?
