Hate's a strong word. But I really dislike the distance between the centerline of the driver seat and the outside edge of the vehicle. It always seems like a larger span than necessary and requires a bit of sliding. Couple that with the high bolsters and seems like the 4Runner will give you a...
Looks like it was a great time until it wasn't!
From this angle it looks like you rutted it enough after a few passes to high-center yourself. I do think your boards might have helped if you dug a little and put them in front of both driver-side tires. They might give you just enough of a...
In the US, yes. Not sure if that is the case in Canada. I have had my license for a couple years now but haven't installed a radio yet in my 4Runner. Have to say that this post is really pushing me to take that step.
We started with FRS radios that were helpful for parking our camper (I...
Thank you everyone who contributed to this thread. I bought the light panels a month or two ago, replaced one when I had a few minutes last month and just swapped the last one in today. Our friends have an ORP that had them installed as an option already and they totally sold us on them.
I have LasFit floor mats for the seats, WeatherTech for the cargo mat, and Tuxedo mats in my F-250. I like the finished look of the Weathertech (grid layout) but the perfect fitment for the LasFit was pretty sweet. They have a lip on the premium version that helps protect the edge of the sill...
Well, you nailed it - the ARK guards were to blame.
I originally removed them because it was creaking, clearanced them enough to stop the creaking, and then eventually put them back on. Last week we were loaded up for a long weekend at the in-laws and it was popping all the way to Costco and...
Do you leave the key in vehicle when it's parked in your garage? I heard that having the key in proximity can cause it to keep communicating and create a small draw.
I was getting about 21 mpg for the first 2500 miles but now I'm getting about 19.5 over the last 1500 miles. Not sure if there was a change in the 4Runner, change to winter gas, or if now I am babying it less and just driving without concern for mileage.
Once I saw it wouldn't align by following the instructions, I tried every which way and couldn't get them to seat firmly enough to keep it from slipping off the grill. Glad you found a way to make it fit!
Yes, they did let me return it. Fortunately Mishimoto is located about 10 miles from where I work. They made me pay return shipping but that was fair as I was the one risking the chance it might work on a 4Runner.
Slow to update, but the Mishimoto mount listed for the Tacoma does NOT work on the grill of the Off Road Premium. I might try the one @donayre21 listed above.
I thought you could too. But no matter what I did the sensitivity never seems to change. I was able to locate where you can turn off the audible beeping when it gets to close to the outer edge of the lane, but that audio level resets each time you turn off then restart your 4Runner. I even...
It's hard to breakdown some of the operating features from the website, but I was hoping you could explain some of it to me. The side of the battery says it can be used down to -40 celsius. Typically freezing point is the go/nogo for LFP batteries. Meaning above 0 degrees celsius you can...
Bueller...Bueller? I did reach out to the 4 largest bumper manufacturers that I've seen for the 4Runners and none of them were interested in sticking a receiver into one of their bumpers for me. "We don't do custom" was the common response. I saw that Curt had been working on one but I just...
