Why don't other mfgs who import to the US have these paint issues? The paint on 4Runners is notorious for being extremely poor quality - both in thickness and in resilience.
And why would the paint on my 13 yr old Jeep Wrangler look better than a brand new 4Runner? I am not kidding. It is...
I would try a tank of super, just to see if there is any difference. The exact same hybrid engine that is in your 4Runner is in the LandCruiser, and with the LC Toyota recommends 91 octane.
If there is no significant difference, go back to regular.
Yeah, many people do not realize how much heavier 35s are - and especially given the load rating they may be choosing. That may also result in a need to make changes to shock/spring rates, having to re-gear your transmission, as well as a huge impact on MPGs, acceleration, braking and handling...
Revisiting this, I went to another dealer and they did not ask for my social security number.
And I've never been asked for it in the past unless I was finanncing.
So this first dealer was full of it...
Thanks. i’d expect a few less mpgs w 35s then. Maybe 16mpg avg.
i think this is a big deal for people building an overlanding rig as it begs the question do you really need 35s? Or would you prefer extra fuel range for your adventures?

Huge boat of a car, but looked ok because it had a recent paint job. I noticed the doors felt very heavy and made a sloshing sound when opened or...
Yep. I just used the sticky mouunt because it came with it! The thing to do is place it on the front of the vehicle if you want to use it as a trail camera, so it has maximum vision of what is ahead so you can actually see where the trail goes as you crest a steep climb.
