Make sure your battery connections are nice and tight. A loose connection and/or defective battery will throw all sorts of error codes.
  2. Strange mark on my hood

Don't get me wrong- two left cylinder failures in 105k miles is why the Jeep's going! But at least it had great paint!
  3. Strange mark on my hood

Why don't other mfgs who import to the US have these paint issues? The paint on 4Runners is notorious for being extremely poor quality - both in thickness and in resilience. And why would the paint on my 13 yr old Jeep Wrangler look better than a brand new 4Runner? I am not kidding. It is...
  4. Strange mark on my hood

it’s painted in Japan not the US. There are no EPA paint regulations affecting it as it is not painted here.
  5. Limited or Platinum any good on off road trails?

You can see how a stock Ltd does off road here
  6. 35" tires fit on TRD PRO?

    They won’t fit w/o mods.
  7. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

I would try a tank of super, just to see if there is any difference. The exact same hybrid engine that is in your 4Runner is in the LandCruiser, and with the LC Toyota recommends 91 octane. If there is no significant difference, go back to regular.
  8. Strange mark on my hood

That sucks. I thought these trucks being made in Japan meant better quality?
  9. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

That’s not good. What are your tire pressures? Have you tried premium gas to see if there is any difference?
  10. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

Yeah, many people do not realize how much heavier 35s are - and especially given the load rating they may be choosing. That may also result in a need to make changes to shock/spring rates, having to re-gear your transmission, as well as a huge impact on MPGs, acceleration, braking and handling...
  11. Dealer wanting to run credit check even though paying cash?

Revisiting this, I went to another dealer and they did not ask for my social security number. And I've never been asked for it in the past unless I was finanncing. So this first dealer was full of it...

Thanks. i’d expect a few less mpgs w 35s then. Maybe 16mpg avg. i think this is a big deal for people building an overlanding rig as it begs the question do you really need 35s? Or would you prefer extra fuel range for your adventures?
  13. Changes to the 2026 4Runner vs. the 2025 (standard trailer brake controller, sound dampening (hood & engine bay), interior door panel filler/rubber

I’m ok with that as I have found out that turning my head gives me 360 pano view.
  14. Back Window Issue - always wet after rolling down & up

years ago I bought an Oldsmoblie Regency 98 (I think that was the model) from a coworker to get me through a rainy winter. My only ride was a moto. Huge boat of a car, but looked ok because it had a recent paint job. I noticed the doors felt very heavy and made a sloshing sound when opened or...
  15. Changes to the 2026 4Runner vs. the 2025 (standard trailer brake controller, sound dampening (hood & engine bay), interior door panel filler/rubber

sway bar disconnect option is only available in the ORP hybrid version as an option.
  16. Back Window Issue - always wet after rolling down & up

Does not seem ideal that the tailgate would hold water like that.
  17. Changes to the 2026 4Runner vs. the 2025 (standard trailer brake controller, sound dampening (hood & engine bay), interior door panel filler/rubber

Is this for all models? previously for example the ORP had a sound dampening matt under the hood, the standard TRD OR did not.
  18. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

Sorry if I missed it but any mpg data from people running 35s?
  19. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

IMO if those chips worked Toyota would already be using something like that.
  20. Anyone use a ‘nanny cam’ as a trail camera?

Yep. I just used the sticky mouunt because it came with it! The thing to do is place it on the front of the vehicle if you want to use it as a trail camera, so it has maximum vision of what is ahead so you can actually see where the trail goes as you crest a steep climb.
